Cancellation and rescheduling Public tours and workshops can be cancelled for a full …' --- # Terms and policies # Terms and policies **Effective date: November 1, 2026.** These terms apply to every tour, cruise, workshop and private experience sold by Independent Tour Coalition LLC, trading as igniTours ("igniTours", "we", "us"). ## Cancellation and rescheduling Public tours and workshops can be cancelled for a full refund, or rescheduled to another date at no cost, up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Within 24 hours of the start time, and for no-shows, we cannot offer a refund or a reschedule because we have already paid our guides and venues. A booking that has already been rescheduled once is not eligible for a refund. Some experiences with third-party admission (for example boat charters or museum tickets) carry their own cutoff, which is shown on the experience page before you book. Private, corporate and custom experiences follow the cancellation terms stated on your quote. Unless the quote says otherwise, deposits are refundable up to 14 days before the event date. ## Weather and safety cancellations Tours run rain or shine. If we cancel an experience for extreme weather, safety or a venue closure, you receive a full refund or a free reschedule, your choice. ## Arrival and late guests Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time. Tours start promptly, and we cannot wait for late guests or refund a missed departure. ## Gift cards and discount codes Gift cards are issued by igniTours, never expire and can be used on any experience we sell directly. Any unused balance stays on the card. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, except that a balance under $10 is refunded in cash on request. Discount codes are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and only one code can be used per booking. If a booking that used a code is cancelled, the code is no longer valid; contact us for a replacement. ## Safe space policy igniTours is committed to a safe and inclusive environment for every guest and guide. Abuse, harassment, sexual assault and discrimination are not tolerated. Respect everyone’s identity, background and point of view, communicate respectfully with staff and fellow guests, and be willing to change your behaviour if someone expresses discomfort. Our guides may remove anyone who violates this policy from the tour without a refund, and serious offences will be reported to the authorities. ## Service animals Service animals are welcome on our walking tours. Entry into specific venues along a route is at the discretion of each venue. Pets are not permitted. ## Release of liability By participating in an igniTours experience you acknowledge the risks involved in walking in a city and on the water, including uneven streets and sidewalks, traffic, weather and the negligence of third parties, and you voluntarily assume those risks. You release Independent Tour Coalition LLC, its guides, partners and affiliates from liability arising from your participation, you agree not to bring claims related to your participation, and you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your actions or a breach of these terms. ## Photo and video release We sometimes photograph or film our tours. By participating you grant igniTours the right to use photos and video in which you appear for promotional purposes without compensation. Tell your guide at the start if you prefer not to appear. ## Personal use and proprietary content Our itineraries, stories and recommendations are protected by copyright. Experiences are sold for personal use; commercial use, resale and recording of a tour for distribution require our prior written permission. ## Giveaways Giveaways are open to legal residents of the United States aged 18 or over, excluding igniTours staff and their immediate families. Winners are chosen at random and notified by email within five days. Prizes are not transferable. By entering you allow igniTours to use your entry for promotion. California law governs any dispute. ## Website accessibility We want everyone to be able to use this site. If something does not work for you, email and we will fix it.
