The story

Come discover the vast and storied history of a beloved Los Angeles landmark on an expertly guided tour of the California Science Center, Natural History Museum and more.

Exposition Park may seem like just another collection of metropolitan museums, but it’s actually an epicenter of history and culture. During this 2 hour walking tour we will explore themes of nature, science, history, and astronomy as the guide takes you on a journey through space and time. Fun for the whole family or avid museumgoer!

First we’ll start outside of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. This iconic coliseum has laid host to the Championship games of Baseball, and Football. The Olympics have been held here twice and will be once again in 2028. Legendary rock stars and infamous political and religious figures drew in hundreds of thousands of people here and are still going strong. Come snap a picture with the Olympic rings and torch!

Next we’ll take you on a guided tour through the highlights of the California Science Center. This institution is one of the only cities in the world with actual spaceships in it! Get up close and personal with the pioneering spacecrafts that led us to the moon, including the baby of the Space Shuttle Program, the USS Endeavour. Explore the 45,000-square-feet of exhibit space dedicated to live animals and aquariums from different ecosystems, including a 188,000-gallon tank with more than 1,500 live fish, kelp and other marine life in it!

After that we will go just outside the Science Center to a beautiful and historic rose garden that presents a view of the architecture and layout that reflects its earliest years. Learn about the fascinating development of the area and nearby campus across the street, USC, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in the U.S.

We’ll finish with a guided tour of The Natural History Museum’s new wing. Be transported to another era while you admire the 75 foot long skeletal structure of a long-necked dinosaur and learn about specimens found by local scientists. Hear captivating stories of Los Angeles long before the glitz and glamor of the film industry. This museum is home to a vast collection of dinosaur fossils, gems and minerals, dioramas of African and local animals and much more. If you’d like more time to explore on your own, you can grab a ticket to the main building afterward.

Come join us and elevate your museum experience to gain deeper insights of this beautiful and often overlooked part of LA with our knowledgeable and friendly tour guides.

A good tour is informative, but a great tour tells a story while teaching you, and our tour guide Estevan was a master storyteller. From the moment we began at the Coliseum to our final stop at the Natural History Museum, he guided us with an effortless flow that made each transition feel intentional and seamless. Every stop felt thoughtfully curated, and the order in which we experienced them created a narrative that brought Exposition Park and LA’s rich history to life.

Estevan was a knowledgeable guide. He introduced me to a space toilet and other items related to air and space.

Fantastic for USC students (both current and prospective) to experience the available museum options within walking distance from the main campus.
